Michael Goldberg
About the Artist:
Michael Goldberg began taking piano lessons in the Fall of 2022. He enjoys collaborating and making music with artists around the world, notably Peter Voronov / Extraordinary Strings musician (https://www.petervoronov.com), Rich Gray / Guitar & Bass (https://www.graymatteraudio.co.uk), Fabio Alessandrini - Drums / (Instagram: F.alessandrini)
As a physician in the Southern Appalachian’s, he enjoys nature photography, hiking with his rescue pups and his beautiful wife.
Many thanks to his teachers and inspirations / influences - Misha Stefanuk / Piano teacher extraordinaire (http://www.stefanuk.com), Bruce Blackman (Starbuck), Andy Hull (Manchester Orchestra), Bryan Glutting (Cognitive Dissonance), Sam Scott-Thorne (Vocal Coach and Artist for Carnival of Lights / https://www.sstvocals.com) and others.
His first composed and recorded piece was Awakening 1 year into his journey. Other singles and arrangements followed (West Highland Line, Night Song), with his first album, Carnival of Lights, being released in September 2024. Andy Hull (Manchester Orchestra) speaking of Carnival of Lights: “Breathtaking! The orchestrations add tension and when these pieces finally give us resolve it’s such a wonderful feeling. Really unique and great work!”
Passage was released shortly after his mother died.
