Michael Goldberg began taking piano lessons in the Fall of 2022. As a physician in the Southern Appalachian’s, he enjoys nature photography, hiking with his rescue pups and his beautiful wife.

His first composed and recorded piece was Awakening 1 year into his journey. Other singles and arrangements followed (West Highland Line, Night Song), with his first album, Carnival of Lights, being released in September 2024.  Andy Hull (Manchester Orchestra) speaking of Carnival of Lights: “Breathtaking! The orchestrations add tension and when these pieces finally give us resolve it’s such a wonderful feeling. Really unique and great work!”

Passage was released shortly after his mother died.
